As you turn the handle, the nozzles turn as well (like a machine gun?). Anyway, the added plus here is that it is far easier for smaller children to turn the handle on this than pull the trigger on some other water guns that need long hands with strong fingers. My 3 year old has no problems with this whatsoever. It is a family favorite. Not difficult to fill either.
